I think it’s a beautiful space, with just the right amount of “stuff.” I can’t stand a workspace so sterile that it looks like you’re about to scrub in for surgery — unless you actually are a surgeon, that is.

The suitcases are a nice, nontraditional decorative touch for storing things you don’t need often. I have long legs, though, so I’d move them out from under the desk, and I would need a deeper desk with more room to spread out papers. But that’s the beauty of designing your own space: you can make it work for *you*.

I like the wood; the lines are contemporary, which is just my style. I’m not a fung shui kind of gal, but I wonder how it actually feels to work facing a corner, with all the stuff close to you–the stacking stuff, all the little organizers. Yes, it’s in arm’s reach, which is beneficial, but I think I’d start to feel closed in and want a little more breathing room. Nice art touches! And does PHOTOinformal’s husband have any brothers? To have someone do that for you, what a talented, considerate guy!

I like this space a lot — to me it is warm and inviting, while being ‘clean’ yet not so sterile that it looks like no one ever uses it.

I agree with Chutters and Andamom. Too much clutter going on here. I’m seeing a trend in the last 4.5 out of the last 5 featured workspaces. I don’t mind stuff under the desk as much as i do on the desk. Better hope absolutely everything is digital, cause there doesn’t seem to be any space to work.

The keyboard is on a sliding shelf, so the under desk space doesn’t look like it’s necessary.

This is beautiful, and it looks cozy. Not too bare. And I LOVE the art on the walls. It goes beautifully with the desk and the whole feel of the space.

The wood is warm and earthy — giving the feeling of relaxation while working. Yet, there’s just too much stuff for my taste. Here’s what I would change:
-Remove the wicker boxes/cases from under the desk. If there’s nothing in these, I’d give them away.
-Remove some of the sculptures – including the one in front of the window.
-Sort through the books, magazines, and papers — and see how much is necessary.

This looks real nice, as I love the white and wood combo, but as for comfort and roominess, I think there could be some upgrades. Like moving the boxes out from under the desk so there is more leg room.

I love this space, and I don’t think it’s too cluttered. It shows that someone actually works there, is live, living and breathing. The use of one unifying wood makes it serene for me, and it seems that everything has a “home”.
