The article is nice but offers expensive solutions. Another really useful tool I have found is Flip Clip Storage kits. They are quick, easy and affordable and have a ton of uses for garage storage. Just clip them on to an exposed stud and in minutes you’re garage is organized. Check out their website at http://www.flipclipstorage.com

Maybe it is me — in my Brooklyn apartment, but… If you’ve got a ton of stuff in your garage that requires an entire system for organization, why not do a garage sale? Really, take the opportunity in the cooler weather to sort through your belongings and then before the end of the year, donate whatever you cannot sell for a tax deduction (people who itemize in the US only)…

I definitely need to get my garage in order before it gets much cooler out. Scraping off your car is the WORST. From the looks of it, I like the Elfa system best. It seems really customizable and the design is timeless. There’s nothing worse than outdated garage storage — har har!
