It's awesome. The first time I used it I had to empty the cannister 4 times after vacumming my bedroom, bath, closet and short hallway. Needless to say, my old vacuum really sucked - or I should say it didn't suck enough. I actually look forward to vacuuming now. I have hardwood and carpet FYI. I just bought one 3 weeks ago. I've had zero success using an upright on hardwood floors. Whenever I use an upright on hardwood floors stuff flies everywhere instead of into the vacuum. It pelts at your ankles. Yes, it has a bare floor option and I use that in the kitchen but it's amazing on carpet. My Dyson vac was one of the best purchases I ever made. Didn't stop me from entering for this one. It pivots!
