Dear Container Store
Reader Shalin passed along this gem from NPR. It’s a “break up” letter from a suburban woman with The Container Store. It’s less than two minutes, and worth it for the smile it will bring to your face. Enjoy this light-hearted musing:
“Dear Container Store, I Almost Loved You”

My favorite line: “I admit, I was checking you out. There was something seductive about all that sparkling acrylic.”

Oh, I loved that! I wonder what persuasive letter the Container Store would write in response in order to “get her (business) back.”

A trip to Pasadena without a trip to the Container Store? Ah, tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.

That was great! I kind of feel the same way about Real Simple magazine sometimes…

I was thinking the same thing… about Real Simple, that is.

I would have loved to hear that read by someone who didn’t butcher it. It was so self-conscious it was painful. he content was alright. ;o)

Glad you enjoyed it
Also, my sister (also an unclutterer reader) was rather excited and impressed that I was mentioned in the blog. Thank you for supporting a positive sibling relationship
(and it should be noted that I’ve been reading the blog for waaay longer than she has, so …ha!
)
Best,
Shalin
