Workspace of the Week: Pretty in pink
This week’s Workspace of the Week is Kelly Sue’s pink wonderland:
I chose this office because form and function work perfectly together in harmony. The clear file storage system on the wall allows the pink of the room to show when files aren’t present. The pink crate on the right holds her 43 Folders tickler system. Her phone is off the work surface but easily within reach, and the round desk has a minimal footprint on the rest of the room. I’m not into the color pink, so working in this space would overwhelm me — but if it were done similarly in colors I like better, I’d be totally game. Thank you, Kelly Sue, for submitting such a unique, inspiring, and organized space!
Want to have your own workspace featured in Workspace of the Week? Submit a picture to the Unclutterer flickr pool. Check it out because we have a nice little community brewing there. Also, don’t forget that workspaces aren’t just desks. If you’re a cook, it’s a kitchen; if you’re a carpenter, it’s your workbench.

Ooh, I LOVE the wall filing system – this has inspired me to head out this weekend and find some of these for my own office! Love the round table as well, it’s a different touch.

If you’re going to get a round table, let me make a suggestion based on my own mistake: get one with a center pedestal. The one in the picture you see there has four legs (it’s meant to be a kitchen table I think) and those legs drove me nuts. I’ve since had to replace the table with one just sliiiiightly lower with a center pedestal. I’m much more comfortable now.

I like the idea of wall storage because it’s easy to access, but I *don’t* like the idea of staring at a bunch of files instead of attractive wall art. Might be fun to attach some art to the front of the file folders in order to pretty them up a bit.

I love that this area has a sense of humor! The organization looks great but also seems like it would be easy to maintain. Love it!
