Huh? A PB&J sandwich is such a simple thing to make! Why create a tool that complicates things?

I have a 40 y/o spreader with a serated edge. I slather on the peanut butter and wipe the excess off on the empty bread slice and then add the jelly or jam and get the excess off the spreader by sliding it across an edge of the bread. This isn’t rocket science, ya know?

This wasn’t new technology. It was just another newfangled gadget to grab attention and make a lot of $$ for someone.

I use a spreader thing that has a serrated edge for my PB&J. I rinse it off after the jelly and then use it for the peanut butter. Then I use it to cut my sandwich.

Ugh, my mom actually got me this (regardless of the fact that my kids don’t eat pb&j). We’ve tried using it for other things — sometimes you need a small spatula to get into tight spaces — but it’s really not a user-friendly gadget. It’s not flexible, so it’s not a spatula. It doesn’t cut and it’s not really shaped for spreading. Basically, a worthless piece o’ plastic that I am now inspired to remove from my drawers.

I’m just curious that no one mentioned Goober Grape, the PB & J all-in-one.

Then you’d really only need one knife.

Well, it takes up less space than a knife and a spoon which I use. But then again, my knife and spoon can be used for lots more.
