Mailing items home from a trip makes even more sense now that airlines are charging for ANY checked baggage. My husband routinely FedExes his clothes to his destination when he goes on business trips, just bringing a carry-on with toiletries and one change of clothes. Same with the trip home. At $15-$25 a pop for a checked bag, FedEx is frequently a better deal, plus there’s no waiting for baggage claim or juggling extra bags.
