Yuck. Not only does this take up space, but donuts are horribly unhealthy too… If you want one or two every now and then okay — but something to make them? I think not!

This makes a great companion to the “food uncluttering” post. Just what I need: DONUTS!!! DONUTS ON DEMAND!!11!1!

Anyway, I think 23 x 14″ is the extent of my kitchen counter space. Seriously. There’s barely room for the dish drainer rack, which I store under the sink when not in use. So, no donut machine today, k thx.

(And yes, the disclaimer is plenty clear, assuming people take time to read it. But I work retail, so don’t get me started on the subject of people not reading things…)

I was all for it, til I watched the video..was it just me or did that donut seem to sizzle in the grease for a long long time…I wanted a donut til I watched the video….might have to keep the video for when I do crave a donut alias greaseball!

Unitasker Wednesday used to confuse me too.

Normally food advertisements make the food look better than it does in real life. Compare an ad for a McDonald’s burger (nice and juicy) to a real McDonald’s burger (flat and dry). The donuts in that photo do not look appetizing. Is it bad advertising or do the actual donuts looks even worse?

Mmmmm. That video made me want a donut so bad! When I was a kid, my grandma would take Pillsbury biscuit dough from the tube, cut a hole in each biscuit, deep fry it, then shake it in a paper bag with cinnamon and sugar. Quick and easy!

There is a poem, “Ode to My Toaster” by Allan Chochinov (posted 4.21.08 on http://www.designobserver.com that made me smile. giggle. laugh).

I can only imagine what Chochinov would do with the donut maker as his topic.
