I see the efficiency, but the whole workplace-in-a-closet deal just does not work for me - I have a touch of claustrophobia and can't concentrate in small windowless spaces. I think you need a bit more space around you to allow the creativity to flow (or at least not make the slog harder than it has to be).

Besides, I live in NYC, and those tiny closets are dedicated to my SHOES, man - the desk can sit somewhere else!

To everyone who's commenting on not having 'enough room' in the sewing space:

I see a nice hardwood floor there. Do all the laying out and cutting (which even for the most complex pieced quilts takes at most two-three hours) and then mark it up an keep it in storage baskets as you sew.

I like the sewing station idea, however I don't see how it could house all of your workspace, since you need somewhere to lay your fabric out to measure it, cut it, pin it together, etc. But, it's still nice in that it at least gets some of the bulky items out of the main part of the room.

Maybe if it was one of those longer closets with the double sliding doors...

I'm not sure how I feel about that sewing station. I suppose it would work if you were sewing together smaller pieces of fabric. Too sweatshop-esque for me.

Wow - talk about an efficient use of space! I especially like the overhead lighting in Adam's workshop.
