Oh wow! That's my room!

Trust me "Hmmmm", that before was not staged. Our laundry room had been a horrible catch all space where everything that didn't have a set home got dumped instead of being the studio it was planned to be. It took me a good 2 weeks to find homes for everything and get the space workable again.

I'm actually pretty tidy when I work... but of course you saw the absolute best version it could be. :)

I think the weekly workspaces are about the organization of the entire workspace. Not just the desk anyway. Of course your desk is going to get messy when you are at work, but if the room is organized correctly and efficiently, it shouldn't take very long to tidy it back up. I think that's the point anyway.

And no one is going to take a picture of a "clean" room without making sure that everything is in its place. Obviously no one lives in a sterile environment all the time with all possessions put away and no dust to speak of. We have to live! But we clean before guests come over and before we take snazzy pictures of our snazzy rooms! :)

I often wonder if the weekly Workspace is just an example of a room tidied up for the photo or an actual space where people work?!

I can clean my desk and it looks great for 10 minutes until I sit down and use it.

The messy version seems a little...staged. Then again, I'm a skeptic.
