This reminds me of how freakishly orderly the celebs' fridges are in MTV Cribs. it's one of the necessary stops on the house tour, and they always open the fridge to show that all they have is rows and rows of uniform, chilled beverages and no real food, produce or condiments.

Nice selection of beer in there.

We all realize that the transparent "fridge" is just a mockup to show you how much a real model would hold, right? You never know...

I had some friends on a farm who saved on power bills by using commercial fridges with glass doors. Their kids were encouraged to choose by looking from the outside before opening. This was (eek) a good 30 years ago, so it's not a new idea. It also fit their galley style kitchen better because the fridges were wide but not deep. Oh, and yeah, always immaculately clean (but then, so was the rest of their house).

I'm just trying to get over the fact that the big shelf in the middle is called the "low waistline". Teehee.

Man, I love the Japanese.

Who would want all of their junk food out there for everyone to see?

I could never keep-up a fridge like that.

I don't use the crisper drawers for perishables - I keep bottled water in there (Boyfriend insists on small bottles). But a clear fridge all the way? Even if it were neat, it's still visual clutter. I like the look of a clean, solid colored fridge.

@Greg
Actually.. just think of all the time you spend just staring into the fridge wondering where in the world the mayo went. This will save all that cold from getting out - but I still won't buy it unless maybe if it could be made opaque by passing a tiny electrical current through it...

Gosh - for most people it's not so much the tidiness level (fairly easy for the averagely OCD-type personality) as the actual pain of others knowing your guilty-eating secrets!

People would flee in terror at the sheer number of condiments contained within the shelves on my fridge door.

Wow, I really don't like that. I have an immaculate fridge, but to have it all see-through, totally not my style.

I love it. I've always wanted a commercial style sliding glass fridge. Like something that holds cola in convenience stores sans advertising. I dig.
