Join our Unclutterer Group on Facebook
Are you on Facebook? If you are, you should definitely join our Unclutterer Group! The Unclutterer Group is a group for “people who write for or love the unclutterer.com website.”
If you’re not on Facebook, I wouldn’t use this group as an excuse to join. Facebook has a way of sucking time away from people who use it … trust me, I’ve lost many an hour …
But, if you’re on Facebook already, please join us!

I find this extremely ironic. Facebook is the worst kind of digital clutter I know. Do you have any hints for decluttering facebook?

@Lynoure — I think it depends upon how you use Facebook. I see it as a social networking tool, much like LinkedIn. It makes communicating with a group of people much easier than contacting them all independently. Plus, it’s passive, so people can acquire the information on their schedule. The Unclutterer group provides a way for readers to directly communicate with other unclutterers in a way that they might not usually find. Plus, we can finally see what our readership looks like
As far as decluttering facebook, wipe out all apps you don’t use on a regular basis. My “wall” is active and that’s about it. Whenever someone sends me an “install this app” message, I just hit the “ignore” button.

Hahaha. I’m pretty sure I’d rather not clutter up my facebook with more groups; I try to be as parsimonious in my groups and applications as possible.

It’s only ironic if you clutter up your own facebook. For me, it helps unclutter because so much of my communication is streamlined and event management is a breeze (as opposed to buying a box of 30 invitations, sendout out 17, store 13 because you don’t want to throw them away, having stamps on hand for the purpose of sending things like invitations out, etc.)
