Hi Mary,

Thanks for commenting and watching Time Makeover.

Two of the most common problems I see when organizing for families are junk mail and laundry-overload (pun intended!)

Glad to hear that you are giving the laundry bags a try. The family featured on the show told me that it is the single biggest time saving tip of all. Glad that was helpful for you too.

Mary, I'm curious, do you know why you, "run late for everything?" Would you consider keeping a journal for two weeks and note why you are late? The reasons might be numerous: kids, traffic, overslept, etc. See if there are any patterns.

Again, many thanks for your kind comments.

Hey, we watched this show over the holidays (we are a family of procrastinators who run late for everything.) We could relate to everything--the kids & activities, the laundry, the junk mail, voice mails.

We liked your calendar tips and laundry-in-the-bag trick. We all went shopping the day after Christmas and bought mesh laundry bags and it does work!

Good tips. Nice show.

I watched Geralin Thomas on "Time Makeover" Friday, December 1st and really enjoyed it.

This type of show is exactly what busy families need to make them aware of exactly how they are spending thier time and then give them a way to manage it more effedtively. It was a very good show and I am looking forward to more.

I watched "Time Makeover" last night with Geralin Thomas and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it is a great concept for a TV show since everyone seems pushed for time these days. I think the idea of making ourselves aware of just where we are spending our time was especially helpful. I'd love to see a segment on Time Management as it relates to entertaining. I think so many of us want to entertain but just don't think we have the time. Great show and am looking forward to the next one.

@ Kim,

I'm sorry you don't have that channel but let me know if there are any areas of Time Management or Getting Organized in particular that are um, *challenging* for you.

Most of the time my ideas and suggestions come from someone working their way through a problem. (Filing, opening junk mail, over committing, using the wrong calendar, etc.)

We can brainstorm together!

This evangelical Unclutterer fan (thanks to Geralin) can also be seen on Time Makeover (3 episodes...the first one to air this weekend -- Fri, November 16 at 9pm, Saturday, November 17 at 1am and Sunday, November 18 at 8pm). I think any busy family will find tidbits of wisdom in this Fine Living show!
