I have to admit, I wanted one of these when they first came out but they were so darn expensive! They’re cheaper now but I still haven’t bought one, because I’ve never had the space in my bathroom. I also would love the shaving cream heater, but since I do my shaving in the tub (and hubby uses an electric razor) I don’t really need it.

Hey, this isn’t really a unitasker – as well as eliminating the terrible problem of ice-cold lotion it also contributes to global warming, neatly minimising those pesky Antarctic ice shelves!

Yeah it’s clutter but I have arthritis and the idea of having heated lotion to rub on my hands sounds wonderful, especially in the wintertime.

This one is ugly, but I personally would love to have a lotion heater in our bedroom. My husband loves to give me massages, but if I don’t insist he warms up the lotion in his hand it’s very UNrelaxing to have cold lotion poured on your back.

Yes, if you use it to heat your lotion by the sink it’s silly, but if it helps set the mood for a romantic evening with the husband how can that ever be a bad thing?

Well, if you were a massage therapist, this might be really nice. Because hey, cold lotion when you are trying to make someone relax is not the best method!

I laughed at the warmers for baby wipes, but once my son started talking, he let us know that those wipes in the morning are COLD!

The simple solution is to ball the unused wipe up in your hands and breath on it to warm it up. Takes 2 seconds.

Couldn’t you bring the lotion into the shower with you (assuming you don’t take cold showers)?

Wow, I didn’t even know that lotion could be ice cold unless you keep it in the freezer or don’t have heat in your house.

What I really like though is that you have to put some forethought into it, thus cluttering your mind as well: Hmmm…in a few minutes I’ll be going to the bathroom, and then I’ll wash my hands. This will dry my hands out and I’ll want some heated lotion. It’s been more than an hour since I last used it, so it has automatically shut itself off. I better turn the heated lotion on now so it’ll be ready, since it takes 2 minutes to warm up.

How about doing those baby butt wipe warmers next? I wonder what people do to warm up the baby wipes if they have to change junior’s diaper away from home?

Yes, it sounds silly, but I can’t argue with the premise, only the execution. I suppose I could fill my sink with warm water, but that wastes water. I currently warm my lotion in my hands already, but having had several medical procedures where they use pre-warmed gel, I know how awesome it is to have really warm lotion as opposed to “just not cold” lotion. Warmed blankets and towels are also fabulous.

I have no problems with heated lotion–although I use the old fashion method of friction–I just thing it is quite ugly. I mean not content with it being a cheesy design—they had to smack a great big CONAIR on the front.

Oh, how cruel! I’m usually right with you on the unitaskers (the hot dog cooker is my favorite), but this is the time of year when I look forward to turning this on for heated lotion to combat my chilly bathroom. And, yeah, my hubby has the heater for his shaving cream too. What can I say? I love my heated lotion.

I’d heap scorn on this, but having nearly cracked and bought something similar for shaving foam, glass houses and stones, etc. Before you mock, if you haven’t had a shave at a barber shop with heated shaving cream, you really don’t know what you’re missing. Since I’m missing a large bathroom, however, I am soldiering on with cold foam.

OK, that’s great for the wintertime, but what do they do in the summer? Do they have a product that will cool your lotion so you don’t overheat?

You don’t think having to plug in a bottle of lotion is clutter? I think the plug and wire is overkill for the “luxury” of heated lotion.

If you have a bottle of lotion by your sink, I don’t see how having it heated would be worse…
