There’s nothing wrong with this or any other site using it’s affiliate program to gain some revenue. The Mac post is in line with the one of the purposes of this site, and the authors are not just willy-nilly posting money-making links in their posts. Plus, it’s not like anyone is gonna get rich off affiliate programs. Or mislead their readers just because they include an affiliate link. So lighten up. There are much bigger things to deal with than a positive site trying to gain a little revenue for the hard work put into keeping the site going.

While I think it’s licit that you use your affiliate program to get some Amazon comission on “declutter stuff”, I wouldn’t like you to begin doing posts advertising unrelated stuff (maybe there are better ways like banners).

And the excuse that many of us use Mac, is very poor!

Alternatively, you could always install Ubuntu or Linux and get “Spaces” for free. It’s been around for ages on both of those operating systems.

Don’t forget to let readers know that if they purchased their mac after oct. 1st apple will give them the new OS for 9.99. Its “free” but the $10 is to send it to you, etc…we’ll just call it $9.99. (learned over at fatwallet)
