We have a colorful "milk-crate" style plastic box that we got many years ago. It's about 10x10x10 and doesn't take up too much space on the top shelf of a cupboard. But it's up high enough to be forgotten for weeks at a time, until someone is in need of fresh inspiration. It's fun to take down the box and say "Now what-all is in here?" thereupon rediscovering all those interesting sauce & seasoning packets bought once upon a whim.

I use the "shoe" idea but the kind that hangs over the pantry door and has all the clear plastic pockets. I can see the packets through the plastic and organize them according to category like oriental type seasonings, mexican, meat, poultry. Unfortunately this is the only thing that is organized in my life!

I also have a hanging shoe rack in my pantry. It's an epiphany!
It holds seasoning packets, tea bags, granola (or other snack) bars, other tiny assorted food items, plastic tableware, straws, the last can of soda, opened cracker packets, candy, gum, etc.
Got rid of so much clutter, and the space it takes up isn't useable otherwise!

Recently, I replaced my old Gladware containers with new ones (you know how they get kinda ugh! over time). Well, I wanted to recycle them somehow, so I'm now using the old containers to house anything not house in something airtight (opened brown sugar bags, drink mix packages, tea bags, etc...you get what I mean). My cabinets are so amazingly more organized than they were before and I've done my bit to help the planet.

I use a clear over-the-door hanging shoe rack on the inside of my pantry door. Small packets go on the top row, and any small packages, snacks, etc. each have their own place. This way I have extra storage space and can locate small items quickly.

Regarding the previous post, the article mentions a wine box cover.

TI purchased a stainless steel holder from Target. I googled wine box cover and found someone else that was looking for it too. This is the description from the site. I tried copying the picture, but it didn't copy. At least you know something like this existed at one time. Maybe you can still locate one.

Our stylish stainless steel holder is designed to cover boxed wine but still allow access to the carrying handle. Good Wine, Good Friends, Good Times is etched on the front. Fits most 5-liter boxes. 10-3/4Hx4-1/4Wx10-1/4D.

I don't know if Tupperware still makes this item, but years ago I purchased an inexpensive plastic box designed for holding these packets. It is cabinet depth in length and only slightly wider than the packets themselves so it takes up very little cabinet space. The nice thing about it is that it steps up as it goes toward the back of the cabinet so you can easily see what packets are lurking in the back.
