I also have the credit card tool by Victorinox. I think it's much more useful - no sharp edges, and tools you actually need in your everyday life. If you're going camping, you're not gonna bring a "credit card" tool - you'll bring the 'real' one. But when you're going to work, you don't want to bring the real knife pack. You don't need all of those things. Apart from the can opener, I think everything I need is in the Victorinox - scissors, tweezers, needle, toothpick, blade, light, magnifier, ruler, 4 screwdrivers...
plus it fits very well into my credit card slot in my wallet.

How do you use the direction ancillary indication. Maybe this is a "duh" question, but the thing didn't come with instructions.

My fiancee has something similar to this, the Swiss Army Card by Victorinox. She carries it around in her bag everywhere and hasn't hurt herself on it though it has less tools overall it also hasn't got sharp edges. It's made it through airport security once and been denied once, unfortunately after she had checked her bags, she then had to mail it home to herself.

It is quite handy and we use it often usually for the tweezers or the scissors.

I have the little key, but find it stiff to get off the keyring, and rarely use it. I'm kind of in love with this, though:

I thought about getting one of these things, but since I ditched the wallet in favor of a money clip (bills, license, ATM card), I settled on a Utilikey:

<a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/6d98/" rel="nofollow">http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/6d98/</a>

It's even smaller, and while it's not TSA approved, I've, uh, heard from a friend that it'll make it through security.

I was going to ask, then Bill answered: What about all those sharp edges? I'm not sure I want one of those in my wallet.

I have one of these and leave it in a drawer. It is covered with sharp edges and I am not convinced that it won't eat its way out of the wallet and into my femoral artery. Also, with its plastic case, an absolute necessity, it is about as thick as a half a dozen credit cards, and will make your wallet too large for carry on.

Mike,

You're right the lanyard isn't much of a "tool."

Killian,

I seriously doubt this thing would make it through airport security.
