Actually I know someone who does pay someone to come take her "junk" (or I should say... her husband's junk) every year or two. She waits till he goes out of town. It's fast and she's DONE! He's a HUGE pack rat

Ack!! I agree that number 5 is a bad idea! Somehow that one didn't register when I read it.

<i>5. Publicstorage.com: Lock it up in more than 2,100 locations around the U.S.</i>

That's not really getting rid of stuff, that's just moving it.

@repsac3
Tip:
To save the list I was going to suggest clicking the "print" button (on the page, not in your browser toolbar) and then saving that consolidated list page (as a PDF through your print dialog box, or web archive, or just easier copying and pasting). But clicking "print" doesn't give you the full list. I've never seen that before! On virtually every other site (esp. newspapers) it's a good shortcut to keep in mind.

Let's hear it for #80 and uncluttered mail boxes! Most of my paper recycling is junk mail. What a waste!

@repsac3 -- Eventually the list will be taken down. You could also copy and past each page of listings into a word doc and save it on your computer.

I think that 86 is right on track... Anyone who has seen Grey Gardens --or knows that story of Jackie O's family could easily have an aversion to ending up like Big and Little Edie. The two lived in horrible conditions in a house in the Hamptons.

(I did bookmark it, though...)
