Inspired by this article I went to the housewares section of Target instead of the office supply section of Staples and found a nice end table that did the job -- and even included a nice size drawer for extra paper. It's not as snazzy looking as this table, but it gets the printer out of the way. This allowed us to bring the cabinet out of hiding and put other items on top. Most people don't even know it's there.
