The quest for the perfect charging station, part 2
Over at Skrewgun, there is a pretty cool charging station that may be better suited to your taste rather than the homemade Multipot we posted a couple weeks back.
The Electron Monument, designed by Sean Barrow, is quite original and makes charging your electronic devices quite easy and uncluttered. Below is the description from Sean himself:
That gorgeous spalted Pin Oak again, which we got from the city; it was a dying oak from some street in Olympia that had to be cut down. The top is Zebrawood and Rosewood and all finished in that great Osmo non-toxic oil. Steel legs with inlaid steel in the front glowing outlet icon. Inside the box are six outlets for all the corded mess of our rechargable toys. The glowing light is a LED that uses almost no electricity. Switch on the back shuts the power down to the whole thing when not in use.

Very nice but doesn’t work for traveling. How about the callpod?

Can you hear people rolling their eyes when they read your comment?

They seem to specialize particularly in cord storage at http://www.kangaroomstorage.com — they have a really nice faux leather model that seems much sturdier than that plastic crap on Amazon. Oh, and re: eltejano — they also have a travel one.

Beautiful, true. I’m not sure I could align myself with making/procuring a piece of furniture specifically to act as a charging station, though.

I think it’s a neat idea and this is very attractive and “organic” feeling, even if it’s not the best piece of TRAVEL FURNITURE I’ve ever seen.
