Laser is not that painful. I've had three of six sessions so far, and I have had zero shaving. I love it so much, I just added more treatment areas. Electrolysis did NOT work for my mother, despite repeated sessions, and they gave me one prick and I had no interest. Laser does not feel like kittens are licking your skin, but it's really not that big of a deal, and the results are totally worth it to me. Maybe I have a higher pain threshold.

Check out the place you go to first. I wasn't swollen at all. Yes-there is a slight burnt hair smell while they are doing it, but it's not really a big deal.

Liora: Laser *is* painful. Your face will be swollen and puffy for a day or so. There *is* smell of burnt hair. I tried it ;)

Electrolysis - takes longer, more painful, but the only permanent solution. Lasered hair has a good chance of growing back.

Ok I have a good friend who has me come along for their laser hair removal sessions. Simply to hold their hand to make it easier to get through the pain.

The smell of burning hair? Well it's not too bad so long as the person doing the laser hair removal keeps a little vacuum hose right there next to the laser to suck up the smell of burning hair.

But I still smell it and my friend who's getting the treament notices it even with the vacuum.

The article is fine the way it is.

With laser there is no smell of burning hair follicles. Unlike electrolysis, it shouldn't hurt much, if at all. It's also probably going to take more like 8-12 treatments, leaning toward the higher end if you want everything gone. And it's unlikely to be successful on anything but dark hair. Um, you wanna rewrite this whole article? ;)

I have felt more "uncluttered" since i dropped the razors with the $100 refill packs and bought a razor, some blades and a can of Barbasol. Which, for $100, you will have enough supplies for *years*.
