Fixing your folding chair fiasco

If you live in a small space or find yourself hosting an annual Thanksgiving dinner, it’s likely that you have folding chairs stuffed under your bed, at the back of a closet, or against a wall in the basement. The chairs are cumbersome, probably an eye sore, and the recipient of a few choice words when they fall over and dent a more expensive piece of wood furniture.

Today, I came across a set of folding chairs that are sexy enough that no one will feel like a second-class guest sitting in them, and can be stored in a way that alleviates clutter in your home. The Olivia Folding Chair, designed by Edi and Paolo Ciani and available through Design Within Reach, is made of beech wood and is currently sold with a wall-mountable hook for sleek storage. The chairs are sold in sets of two, and can help to fix your folding chair fiasco.
